I know you are dying to know. You may not even realize you want to know. But, I will release you from the suspense and give you the answer. No. I have not started my 2019 Vision Board. Usually by this date I have declared my goals, made my board and even taught a class empowering others to do so.
This year I am moving a little more slowly, giving myself more room to dream, floating in the possibilities. I've talked about this before. We are in that void of time between the coming of Winter and the mid-way point to the Spring Equinox. This is the time to go inside, be introspective and to rest and rejuvenate. I know I'm feeling all of those things as I pack up my holiday decorations at the same time as I UN-PACK 2018, examining the successes and the chaos, the wins and the losses. Oh the losses. So many personal losses. So getting off track and not staying in the place of positivity where I normally linger. So, I want to tell you 2 things. 1.) Start where you are and when you are. If you don't have your goals ready or your vision board made or your life planned this month for the year, when you do have those things, start there. 2.) If you are trying to energetically capture this time, then use this time to dream and to ponder and to unpack your thoughts. Take the time between the Full Moon (January 21) and the New Moon (February 4) to really say goodbye to 2018, leaving room for 2019. Then, on the New Moon choose those seeds for 2019. Make the Vision Board. Write those goals. Embrace the possibilities! This year, the Imbolc New Moon falls on the actual day of the new feng shui energies anchoring in and is very auspicious. For me personally, that's really my GO point. To assist me in getting ready for this excitement, I began Jack Canfield's 10 Day Transformation program. I am a HUGE fan of Jack and am exited to be working through his program(s). If you do not have his breakthrough book Success Principles, order it today and begin to apply this to your life. If you are a fan of The Secret and are either a longtime student of Law of Attraction or if it's new to you, this is a great book. This little gem shared in the meme below was the quote that stopped me in my tracks today and was a like a message from Spirit to continue on my path and with those goals that I am setting in 2019! ***Affiliate Disclaimer: Sometimes my blog posts contain links to products that I personally endorse. I am sitting in the Orlando airport waiting for our plane to depart. We are looking at at 2.5 hour delay, which is allowing me time to do something I had hoped to do when I get home, but felt like I may be too tired. Blog!
It isn't lost on me that only several years of dreaming, plannning, pushing, prodding plus lots of pain has brought my family and I to this place. This is our third trip in 2018, which feels both wonderful and excessive to me. 2019 will be dialed back down as we are planning 2 big trips in 2020. Today is New Year's Day and while I am abnormally calm and not rushed (I cannot be as I am at the mercy of Sun Coast Airlines) I am thinking of this new year and what it holds. Every day holds promise, but it is never so promising than this beginning of a new calendar year. My focuses this year are more intentional manifestation, daily meditation, healthy living with daily exercise, turning our home into our own resort and retreat, family family family, my husband and our relationship, crafting, and my best biz year yet truly serving my clients and added to that intentional community service. Whew! More to come on all of these as January unfolds. Happy new year. I would love to hear your intentions for 2019 here or on my FB or Insta pages. Wishing you peace and love, Dana I was going to blog today about prayer and manifestation and what happens when we don't follow those principals. But, I have something else to tell you. I have been pretty quiet on the blog front, and social media front, and life front for a while. Forgive me. My last post was just after getting my daughter off to school at the beginning of the year and that blog post was titled, "Ya'll" and I said , "Praying for a smooth year." I think that was my intuition kicking in. It must have been. The year has been anything but smooth. In fact, I think the words roller coaster, bumpy road, wind tunnel - those would be accurate descriptions of our year. Who knew we would be here today? I think I did.
Let's be honest, my life has never been smooth. With the exception of being born with the good fortune of wealthy parents, it really hasn't been smooth. And, I've always been okay with that. I mean, it's life. It's just what happens. Until, it's not just about you, it's about others (like your kids) and you sit and watch and wonder how the heck you find yourself here. I cannot yet thrust the curtain fully aside as we are in the midst of what we hope will be a really great transition, but I can state emphatically that if something in your life is not working, then change it. A long-term acquaintance of mine, a beloved member of a community that we have long been part of, and who doesn't know our current circumstances, but is familiar as a founding community member said recently on my Instagram page, "It's okay to walk away from things that can't be fixed." I will leave you with this. Gratitude. It matters. Pass it on. Today my weekly newsletter goes out and I am admitting to being less than focused over the summer...every summer. I'm not sorry. I love being a free spirit with the kids during the summers. But, it can also be stressful as I am not working as much meaning less income meaning lots of other things.
The wheel of the year turned last week and the quickening that happens, at least for me, as we march toward fall and then winter and it all cycles again. With some of my business coaching, my being coached, there's lots of talk of accountability and having a partner for that. It never really worked for me until this week. I got a call from my hubby and a verbal kick in the pants to stop getting distracted by the shininess of summer and pull myself back together. I laughed when I realized I had a built in accountability partner all along. I laughed even more when he sent me a Bill Murray meme with a quote from the movie Stripes. One of my faves! Refocus, get accountable and seize the day! Here we go. The universe is conspiring for us to release our shit and move into a higher state of consciousness. Will you be a co-conspirator? Hint: the answer is yes. If you are spiritual entrepreneur, a healer, teacher, visionary or reader, you really need to harness this energy. Here's the thing. This particular energy will enable us to wipe that slate clean. Sort of. It is our job to continue to improve ourselves. Peel back those onion layers.
I work with healers and readers each day. Some are doing an amazing job of letting their light shine. Some are still in hiding and wondering why they are not getting the clients or income. Use these energies to clean the mirror so you can see yourself in your glory and then share that with the world. We need your light more than ever! #spiritualwebdesign #loa #iam #nashville #fullmoon #goddessworshipper#heartcenteredentreprenuer I'm on the road. A lot. Every day I ferry kids from one end of Nashville to the others, meet with clients, see friends, run errands. It crossed my mind one day that we are so fortunate that we have not been in any wrecks, though there have a been a few near misses. Then, it happened. The Moon and I were at a stand still, about 20 cars back and a guy plowed right into us from behind. It was all slow-motion and a little unreal. Thankfully we were both okay, the car has minimal damage and as I had my foot on the brake, I didn't go into the car in front of me.
After checking to be sure Arwyn was okay, scared and shaken, but okay, and calling the non-emergency Police number, I got out to assess the damage. The man who hit us remained in his car. We pulled off the road into a parking lot and proceeded to wait (for 3 LONG HOT HOURS) for the Police to arrive. In the meantime, my husband came to check on us and took the little one home and I alternated between pacing and sitting in my air conditioned vehicle. When the Police came and the other driver and I stood outside while the formalities were dealt with, we chatted and I knew there was something to pay attention to during this conversation. As a Cancer with Scorpio rising, I see the hidden that sometimes others don't or won't see and this was no different. The gentleman, in his 60's was overweight in ill-fitting clothing, in need of a hair cut, was in bad health and had been at the hospital getting his prescription filled (the VA was my guess), and seemed so sad and lonely. He was driving his mother's Mercury Marquis and told me about his brother who had died of Agent Orange and his father, a veteran who had fought in 3 wars. It had been 13 years since he lost his father and I am quite sure he still lives in his childhood home. No wedding ring. No mention of a wife or children. Soon, all was finished and we went on our way. I came home and we all swam in our neighbor's pool while chatting with them as I was quite sore and felt a salt-water dip would soothe my bones. That night and the next day I pondered the events and knew this was a message from the Universe. I know nothing of the man other than what he shared. But, I believe I am an astute judge of character and can sometimes find as much in what is not shared in the story as what is. This man seemed to me to have a life not lived. He also seemed to be holding a grief that has gripped him as he lost his parents and sibling. It appeared he had no data on his phone and shared with me he spent a lot of time watching documentaries on You Tube. There have been days in the last year when I have won. I've gotten up and faced the Universe and gripped the bull by the horns and walked away at the end of the day a winner. There have been days when I have been worn down by grief and the weight of all of the things I need to do or places I need to go or feeling physically ill due to everything. But, at the end of the day, or sometimes the next morning, I remember all I have accomplished and all I have overcome and the goodness around me and begin again. I don't believe we only live once. But, I do believe we only live THIS life once. Make a good one. Do something good. Something amazing! It may be raising a family, it may be becoming a healer, it may be fame as a recording artist. It may be some of it all. Live life. Forge ahead and be your best. Life your best with no regrets. If you do not already embrace this, start today. It's never too late! It's transformation Tuesday. I'm headed to get a lymphatic massage today. This year, I have been working hard to take care of myself. I feel amazingly lucky to be able to do some of the things I am doing and know that not everyone has this ability financially to experience this type of healing. What are other options? Take a walk, take an epsom salts and baking soda bath for about $3.00 (the cost of the salts and baking soda), lie in your bed with your eyes covered listening to meditation music on You Tube. Can we transform ourselves? For me, the answer is yes.
Last night I watched American Idol and one of the contestants had been hit by a car and was completely paralyzed from the waist down. After 18 months, he began to walk again. I have a friend with a similar experience. After being hit by a car then run over by the vehicle, he most likely should never walked out of the hospital. He did it and now skateboards and swims and is the single parent to two girls. We can transform not only ourselves, but our businesses. We only have to have the courage and be open to hearing the message. I launched this business in October, 2015 and walking in my model was drag and drop websites for spiritual entrepreneurs - the visionaries, healers, psychics and teachers of the world. It has evolved into branding and social media, visioning and more! But, I could not let go my past of feng shui, organizing and space healing. I talk more about this in a recent post about hearing the call of my spirit. I have spent my entire life revisioning, improving, transforming myself and this business is not different. There are a lot of us out there who do not know what we want to be when we grow up and sure as hell are too afraid to put ourselves out there as our own brand! For many of us, we ease out by dipping our toes in the water with essential oils and other direct sale opportunities (I love these models, BTW, for the women who find success with them). But, for many of us, it simply isn't enough and doesn't feed our spirit or our call and we need to transform, to step out of fear, to listen to the silence in order to receive the message. (Speaking of stepping out of fear, I am rebooting my Step Out of Fear course later this month and I promise, you will not want to miss it.) Yesterday, Stephen Hawking died. Talk about transformation. A genius who lost the ability to move his limbs and gifted us with some of the most transformative thinking in regards to the Universe of our time. I'll be honest, I know little about him, but what I do know is his transformation led to a legacy and I will sharing some of my favorite quotes from him this week via my Instagram and FB pages and right here on the blog. So, transform sister. Transform, brother and LIVE.YOUR.BEST.LIFE.
11 weeks to an organized home. That was my first post. But, it's not enough. It's just not. There was a time when are lives were so compartmentalized but that's not how most of us live now. We are working from home. We are working on the road. We have flex time. On any given day, you'll find my husband or I working from the kitchen table. I bet life is similar in your world. So, my course changed. My objective changed. 11 weeks to an organized life.
We officially begin this exciting journey on January 1, but I want to share with you that you can begin today. In fact, I implore you to begin today. But, how? What is the direction? How do you begin to take back your life and release your stuff? Just for the record, by stuff, I don't just mean your high school yearbooks (okay, I still have mine), I mean your STUFF. We all have it. It manifests in so many ways, but most often shows up in our homes, under our beds, in our closets, around our waistlines.... You get the idea. What will we be tackling over the next 11 weeks? Here's my list:
What will we be doing and discussing?
If you are up to the CHALLENGE, and I know you are, between now and January 1, I have a couple of tasks for you. You can do it. Ready? The first is head over to my Clearing the Way for Your Best Life Group on Facebook and request to join. I'll be cross-posting content and uploading more there each day. The second is to Get Control of Your Calendar. That's it. That's all you need to do before we start rocking 2017. I'll be talking about this more Saturday. But for now, file it away, think about your calendar. Download one on your phone, purchase one, draw one out on paper, whatever you do, this is your first task and I'll be talking more about it tomorrow. In the meantime, below is a guided meditation by Jason Stephenson to help you relax in these final days before you hit the reset button. I've spent the last two weeks with my head down, reading articles, speaking out, wringing my hands. I have been hopeful, dismayed, in disbelief, happy, sad. It may be that I have experienced some of the biggest ups and downs that I can remember in a long time. I have spent WAAAAAYYYYYY too much time on social media at the expense of my home, my family and my business. Now, here I am, refocused and back in the game, working daily to regain the balance that I lost and looking for a way to continue to be engaged in the conversations of our work without losing myself in the chaos.
What does the end of the year look like for me? Here's my list to accomplish the goals I set in January of 2016 so that I can finish strong for myself and my family. 1. Thanksgiving weekend is filled with outdoor activities and home repairs which keeps me focused on my health and our goal of selling our home and finding our dream space. 2. I have renewed my work with essential oils in regards to getting them to friends and family and even strangers so that they can be used to support a healthy lifestyle for all. I never dropped my own use, but realize that it is a gift to all to share the message. 3. I have begun wrapping up with current client needs to open the space to support new clients who need what I have to offer. 4. Through blogging, my newsletter, social media and more, I am promoting my web design and organizing services. All of these things move me closer to fulfilling my goals, allow me to better serve my clients and be the person I want to be for myself, my family and the world. My hope for you this weekend is that you bring your gratitude into focus and then share it with the world. |

Meet DanaI’m Dana Croy and I am a modern day mama. Balancing family and work is not always easy (not to mention a little self-care). Though being Mama to two fantastic kiddos is a huge part of my life, that was not always the case. I wear many other hats and invite to sit down and find harmony with me. Archives
